Some dogs are easier to photograph than others. It’s not just about staying still or looking at the camera. How the ears are placed, the expression on his face, and – especially in the case of the Yorkie – the way the dog is groomed, are all things I pay attention to when taking photos.
I’m by no means a professional, but learning to focus on eyes, ears and expression has helped me improve my photography and take photos that I think show the essence and beauty of the animal.
